as a service to other internet users of the free world, i try to comment on everything i find problems with. unfortunately, i don't have time/energy to comment on every single good movie/download. if i say something is good, then it is good. if i say something is bad, then read my comments to see why i say it is bad. Donation Acceptance Policy: I don't accept any else's bitzi submissions as my own. everything i write about i have seen and judged. *** and now for the darker side of computer news: *** MicroSoft, with the help of intel and the other motherboard makers, using Windows Palladium (codenamed 'Longhorn') are trying to control even more of the market and get even more a monopoly. If you are buying a computer in the next few years, and see the word "Palladium" or "Longhorn", AVOID. Pallidium/longhorn will directly connect with hardware enabled spyware that cant be disabled or rerouted. A company or programmer that is trying to sell a program will have to pay Microsoft money in order for customers to be able to use the program. When you try to use the program or install it, Pallidium will go online to microsoft and see if the program is a 'certified' program. Any and all programmers or companies that haven't paid for their right to run on Windows will be unusable on Pallidium. Consumers without Pallidium on their computers will not be allowed to connect with websites running on Pallidium machines. In one sense, yes it will be better security, but in the other sense that means that instead of hackers stealing your personal info and selling it, now you would have microsoft being allowed (by you installing and clicking 'accept' on the agreements) to get your personal info and selling it. I doubt that Microsoft will illegally drain your bank account; they'll just raise the prices of their software (because it will be the only operating system that can run on the motherboards) and drain your bank account legally. I do not remember all the details, so if you want to learn more, search the internet for 1) 'Palladium' 2)'codenamed' and 'longhorn' *** and now for something even darker, politics. Note: if you want the world to end, you will probably not like my political views, and should skip down to my joke if you are interested. otherwise, keep reading *** to all U.S.A. citizens who read this before 2004 election, remember to vote no for proposition Bush. we don't want him to continue to ruin the economy. let's vote bush out before it even gets to florida (because we all know who's family in florida controls the voting process)... if you haven't registered to vote yet, register as 'no party' instead of 'democrat'. that way, your vote won't be "lost" or "disqualified" or whatever like the 100,000+ democrat ballots last presidential election. again, I don't remember all the details so search for yourself. *** from out of the darkness a light emerged. and it was a strange old man carrying a torch and a scroll. he clears his thoat (ahem) and all becomes quite.
