Re: bitzi misconception: misleading filenames   [forward as email]
-----

It is possible to rate a FILE (bitprint) as

"dangerous/misleading".

THIS MAKES NO SENSE!

A filename can be misleading, a file cannot!

-----

an executable that contains a trojan can

be considered misleading...if you download

program x.exe, program x could work just

fine but could contain a trojan that does

bad things at the same time without you

knowing it...thus misleading could be an

apt description.

as far as bad filenames - just go to the

"full detail view" of the bitprint of the

file. rate the 'name' tag. give the false

name a rating of --. create your own tag

with the correct name. give it a rating

of +. that's the right way to go about it,

imo. if someone is downgrading the file

instead of the 'name' tag, they're doing

it wrong, imo.
