There hasn't been a need for updates in awhile but yes, 
the bitcollider Sourceforge project is still open.

That the program hasn't changed in a few years and 
is open source should be enough to prove that the 
AV scanners have gotten it wrong this time.  If 
you still have any doubts the source code is 
available for anybody to check.  The program is 
so small you don't even have to be a programmer 
to look it over and see the few things it does.

It's no surprise that another antivirus program 
started giving false positives on the same file.
There's probably some sharing of data between 
companies. The fact that the false alarms always 
claim that bitcollider is a "generic" trojan is 
proof that they are trying to use guesswork in 
these cases, which will always falsely detect 
some good software as trojans or viruses.


If you can't get your AV to leave bitcollider 
alone, try the Java version for awhile until 
McAfee and Symantec fix their mistakes.
