I have all the right codecs ( at least I think so )

I wonder if it is because I am using a 42" HDTV as my PC monitor but if that were the case then surely it would affect other movies whereas the problem seems to be only with more recent ones.

or are there newer codecs that I do not have yet - if so where can I find them
