The Creative Commons, a new initiative to preserve and expand the store of creative works that are either public domain or available under liberal licenses, was announced last week.

Bitzi is collaborating with the Creative Commons on ways to share catalog data, ensure RDF format interoperability between our content databases, and promote the option of releasing work for free redistribution or completely into the public domain.
