I would suggest you use one of the more successful and popular AV's rather than a relative unknown.

Firewalls, AV's, and AD-ware/SPY-ware blockers are the norm for anyone downloading and installing from the net and should be listed as part of "TASK MANAGER".

MS-DOS is still a good way to clean your system.
