Bit Torrent   [forward as email]
I think the best thing that could be done to improve this service is to generate torrent files with the Bitcollider program to tell the truth i think bit torrent with a bit of help could be the best method for shareing files

bittorrent is a closed network while those others ar open, isn´t it?

The lack of bittorrent is that trackers and files can not be searched from everywhere

Re: Bit Torrent   [forward as email]
best over all? none they all have there draw backs the neat thing about bit torrent and its varrations is that no one needs to have the full orginal shared to download a file because you download from other people who have partly downloaded as well as people who have the full thing and your right the biggest draw back to bit torrent is that it has a lack of places to find torrent files

For me, i am a ed2k fan. Its good for big files and has a huge number of shared files.

Its an open network, everybody can easyly fand any files and start downloading, and it has little overhead.

Many files that are released elsewhere (releaser-groups, bt) finally find ther way into the ed2k network, while they disappear in other networks.

Re: Bit Torrent   [forward as email]
uhhh

ed2k is very famous, can´t believe you havent tried yet.

There are many clients.

For windows, i like eMule (http://www.emule-project.net/). EMule is used by 90% of the windows-ed2k users.

There are several other clients available for windows.

For linux there are aMule, xMule, MLDonkey and others.

For MacOS and other OSs there are also clients, but i dont know them (aMule i think).

For me, i use mldonkey because i run filsharing on Linux on a alltime-up non-graphics server.
