Sha1 used by Bitzi   [forward as email]
I have just found bitcollider and would like to congratulate everyone on what looks like a good program. I have one problem though, the sha1 used by bitzi seems to generate different results as opposed to a standalone sha1 generator.

example.

capone.gif using bitcollider 0.6

SHA1 - DZ2UNZISKKGDLT4TBXCYZWVBL3NAMCM7

capone.gif using sha1sum with both binary and text mode from http://www.di-mgt.com.au/crypto.html.

SHA1 - 3161bf6ac6c9c49df0eba30d7db7d1e5713e7a76 - text

SHA1 -1e7546e512528c35cf930dc58cdaa15eda06099f

Am I missing something here?

Bitcollider is calculating the same value, but displaying it differently, using Base32 rather than hexadecimal, for additional compactness.

Base32 is defined here:

http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3548.txt

DZ2U...(base32)

= 00011 11001 11010 10100...

= 0001 1110 0111 0101 0100...

= 1E754...(hex)

Thanks for that. I thought it would be something straight forward.
