| The "default web browser" isn't launching to submit the info like they say it should be doing. All that happens is that a text file shows up with a bunch of code. What's happening?

| What operating system do you use? What program is appearing to display the text file? Does the text file have data in it about the file you submitted to Bitcollider? What should be happening: when the Bitcollider finishes its analysis, it creates a temporary web page on your hard drive with the info to be submitted. It tries to launch the system's default web browser to view this file. Viewing the file in a Javascript capable web browser will cause an auto-submission to the Bitzi website... otherwise you have to click 'submit'. The most common step to break is launching the default web browser. Assuming you're on Windows, you can try reinstalling the web browser and/or adjusting the OS settings for opening '.html' files. If that fails, you can use your web browser to open the temporary HTML file ('bitprint.html' in the system-appropriate temp/tmp directory), directly via the 'open..' or 'open file...' option. (You can also make a bookmark for going directly to that local file when it has fresh Bitcollider info.) Hope this helps, - Gordon @ Bitzi

| Here's what ended up working: I logged onto Bitzi, THEN opened Bitcollider & dragged in my files. Thanx for the prompt response! I have Windows XP & Bitcollider 0.6.0.; sorry I didn't report that before.

| Same here: bitcollider 0.6.0 will not launch my firefox (draging a file, browsing or shell-ext.) (DON'T PROPOSE TO USE BILL GATES SHIT - MY ONLY MS-PROGRAM IS Windows XP prof = was a present). And by this way I told you my equipment: Windows XP Prof SP2, Firefox 1.5, Bitzi Bitdefender 0.6.0
and the bitprint has the extension htm (ok does n't matter will also be opened by firefox) - I have so many bogus or virus-infected files to submit, that your proposal of opening the bitprint file manually is inacceptable

| Bitcollider Browser Fix/Patch (Browser won't open, etc)
I had an issue with my browser not opening regardless of which browser I had set as default.
This patch fixes the issue for me. (I haven't encountered any issues thus far.)

Note: also included, simple instructions on how to create the patch yourself.
