| Updating my AVG antivirus gaves me this when trying to run bitcollider: E:\BITCOLLIDER\BITCOLL.DLL Contains signature of the dropper DR/Bitcoll.3 I hope its a false positive. This is with the version downloaded from the site.

| 'Dropper' usually implies some malware which is surrepetitiously installed, or sneakily installs other programs without user consent. Bitcollider contains no bundled software, and as far as I know, has never been bundled with anyone else's software. (Bitzi haven't struck any such deals, though as the code and installer are available for free distribution, people are free to do with it as they like.) Bitcollider only communicates with Bitzi's server when you ask it to do a lookup/submit, and shows all the info it submits in the web page that briefly appears for each submission. So your hope is probably correct: it's probably a misclassification. We'll inquire with the makers of the AVG antivirus package to see if we can learn more. - Gordon @ Bitzi
