Problem: Bitzi ignore tiger tree   [forward as email]
Shareaza submit like this: http://bitzi.com/lookup/PVNOOCJ2US4TIW2RMHDCPWDFN6U7SNPS.EGV2XVFR6TKR4SJ6C54IAEYRKDSOUBK5EFXIXUQ?fl=3600718&ff=4944330300000000004754495432000000170000&fn=Viola%20Valentino%20-%20La%20surprise%20de%20l'amour.mp3&a=Shareaza%202.1.0.120&v=Q0.4&ref=shareaza

that means: http://bitzi.com/lookup/sha1.tigertree? etc.

Bitzi ignore tiger tree. Why?

We always have the SHA1 value of every file with a Bitpedia entry. So, it's always considered the primary key for lookup.

For that file, we don't have the TigerTree. (No one has ever submitted it with a recent/complete version of Bitcollider.)

What would you suggest happen?

If use sha1 and tiger tree for the same file and tiger tree is missing then it should be considered a submission for a tiger tree.

Probably because (and I'm new to all this)when checking archive files (esp RAR), Bitzi reports come up as info OK, trusted, accurate etc,

When you extraxt, unzip or download them, the files appear to be OK, IT IS WHEN YOU RUN THE SETUP FILES

Especially ones that are 812kb (i think)

Eg I downloaded on Sha21 Win Pro - which I have already got but CD got scratched (honestly)!!

I even went to trouble of checking that files were same as or similar to xp home CD and XP pro files I alredy have. They were.

There were no strange or unusual files

When I ran setup it installed all the files as expected, started Win XP installation, but then stopped due to my already installed copy being newer. I didn't suspect anything wrong with this apart from what it said was the problem

I didn't even notice tiger tree, until I tried again. Even then I just thought it was the host's own naming of folders or something like that, as everything else looked OK

As I am a developer/tech support (self taught with help from real IT Consultant/developer boyfriend) I have a special PC for use when downloading as I am always messing with settings etc, to learn how to do things

Its a bloody good job as now I can only use PC in safe mode. I have tried everything and it's not like I don't know how to get around this normally (coz I do!!)

ALSO I AM GETTING SEVERAL REPORTS ETC and especially if you check Bitzi with google, claiming Bitzi it's self is SPYWARE. IS THIS TRUE
