non standard magnet uri   [forward as email]
It maybe an old question.

I know it is not standard, but is there any downside to put tigertreehash and file length into magnet URI?

For example:

magnet:?xt=urn:sha1:3WDOEVOYUULOXC5QD6YMPTBJQU355RGH&

xt=urn:kzhash:0bf4c9a50c1058fb6887ad0419ecfc06dc192c69163ea2c45c632dab1cab1e1fbd6fbf1e&

xt=urn:tiger:tree:ZAJPZOPES4YGIPNHLHDQHD5FHSAFSPIYG7IOO3Y&

xl=168592911&

dn=Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Retail.zip

can this uri be used by most of current bitzi-powered applications?

That should be "urn:tree:tiger:", not "urn:tiger:tree:". Or you can use "urn:bitprint:{sha1}.{tree_tiger}".

I suspect unknown parameters (such as your "xl") would be ignored, but I couldn't guarantee it. It would be nice to have a magnet capability chart, with magnet clients on one axis and

urn:sha1:

urn:tree:tiger:

urn:bitprint:

urn:kzhash:

urn:ed2k:

ignores unknown params

on another.
